Spoilers for the FE10 Ike-Ranulf A-support ending. Prompt was Ike/Ranulf and the process of getting them together. "Okay," nodded Ike, looking very satisfied with himself. It was so different, a blunt arch of indentations instead of the piercings left behind by a laguz's fangs. Ranulf bared his teeth instinctively at the feel of someone else's teeth against throat, but before he could even react, it was gone, a curved row of teeth-shaped marks left in its wake. Using one elbow to prop himself up, Ike lunged forward suddenly enough that Ranulf didn't even have time to reel back - not that he could've, not with Ike's other hand curved around his nape, roughly pushing down the fabric from his neck. Ranulf slipped his hands to the floor instead, easing the weight from Ike's shoulders, and Ike lay still for just a second. "Ease up for a second," Ike said, half-breathless even though his mouth hadn't been occupied.
Ike couldn't see it, but he could definitely feel it when Ranulf nipped at where the pulse beat strongest in his neck, and it sent an involuntary shudder down his frame, one that Ranulf seemed to notice, because the cat was chuckling to himself. "It means," he clarified, canting his head sideways to mouth the words against the underside of Ike's jaw, "That you belong to me, technically." Ike tried to speak again, and was similarly silenced by an open-mouthed kiss. "An act of submission," he repeated for Ike's benefit, or it might have been for his own, because it brought him up close enough to breathe the words across the other's lips. Ranulf swiped his tongue around the area, almost as if in apology. Ike groaned, because though he didn't understand it, the feeling of being marked was surprisingly arousing. There was the brief sensation of sharp fangs pressing lightly into the muscle there, deep enough to leave an imprint but not forceful enough to break skin. "A wh-nggh," said Ike, tilting his head up to accommodate the teeth and tongue dragging down the column of his throat, feeling Ranulf already loosening his collar to bare the junction of neck and shoulder. "It's.well, it's sort of an archaic thing, but traditionally it was a sign of submission," said the cat, corners of his mouth stretching into a Cheshire grin, hovering above Ike with his hands pinning the beorc's shoulders to the ground and looking like he had just caught an entire nest of canaries. Ike was almost immediately sorry he even asked. "I don't know," said Ranulf, ducking out from under Ike's chin for a moment to contemplate the question.
